Comprehensive National Mock Drills to Ensure Glitch-Free Execution
According to a report by TrendKia, preparations for the highly anticipated NEET UG re-examination, scheduled for June 21, have entered their final phase across the nation, including major hubs like Jaipur. To eliminate any technical glitches or administrative gaps, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is executing a massive countrywide mock drill on June 20. In Jaipur, a mega mock drill commenced at 9:00 AM, focusing on verifying the functionality of biometric devices, high-tech jammers, and overall security protocols at all selected venues. Under the supervision of administrative officers and invigilators, this rehearsal is designed to leave no room for errors. Additionally, early morning drills from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM simulated the secure transportation of question papers and OMR sheets to the examination halls under the protection of police and paramilitary forces.
Unprecedented Three-Tier Security Structure
Adopting an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward malpractices, the NTA has transformed over 5,000 centers nationwide into high-security zones with a three-tier protection system. The scale of the deployment is immense, featuring approximately 2.5 lakh police personnel and 15,000 paramilitary troops. This is complemented by modern technological surveillance, including 1.5 lakh extra CCTV cameras and 15,000 jammer devices. To coordinate this mammoth task, an ultra-modern central control room has been set up at the NTA main office in Delhi. Senior officials will monitor live video streams from every single exam center in real-time. Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have also been integrated into the surveillance system to detect any suspicious movements or potential digital theft instantly.
Mandatory Rules, Strict Timing, and Candidate Instructions
Candidates must adhere strictly to the schedule announced by the NTA. The 195-minute exam is slated to begin at 2:00 PM. Gate entries will open at 11:30 AM, and the main gates of all test centers will be locked permanently at 1:30 PM. No student will be allowed inside after this deadline, regardless of the reason. Regarding essential documentation, candidates are required to carry the newly issued admit card downloaded from the official NTA website. They must paste a postcard-sized photograph (4x6 size) onto the specified proforma before leaving home. Furthermore, an extra passport-sized photograph, which must match the one uploaded in the online application form, is required for the attendance sheet. Double biometric verification, consisting of digital fingerprinting and facial recognition, will be conducted during entry as well as inside the exam hall to completely eradicate the risk of impersonation.
Special Logistics and Infrastructure in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh
State administrations have rolled out specialized arrangements, particularly in Bihar, where 1.56 lakh candidates are registered to appear across 331 centers in 35 cities. Patna alone accounts for 46,000 of these examinees. Security in Bihar has been heightened to military standards. Three days prior, a special Indian Air Force aircraft transported the confidential test papers directly to Patna. By late tonight, these papers will be safely deposited in the main treasuries of all 34 districts. The vehicles carrying these papers are equipped with online live GPS tracking to prevent any unauthorized access. Meanwhile, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, more than 23,000 candidates will sit for the exam across 47 venues. The Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya New Cantt has been appointed as the nodal officer to supervise the process alongside designated static and sector magistrates.
Amenities Amid Scorching Heat and Free Transport Facilities
To support candidates traveling in the severe summer heat, the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh have declared free travel in state-run roadways buses upon presenting their admit cards. Indian Railways is also operating special NEET Special MEMU and express trains on busy routes, particularly those connecting eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to major urban hubs. Dedicated help desks have been established at railway stations to guide candidates. Locally, administrations have arranged shade, drinking water, and ambulance facilities at centers. Local intelligence units in civilian clothes are keeping vigil, and social media monitoring cells are scanning online channels to quickly address any misleading posts or traffic issues on crucial routes.
Zero Tolerance for Rumors and Fake Claims
Addressing the fake question papers and leak rumors circulating on platforms like Telegram and X, the NTA has issued a strong warning to candidates and parents. The agency clarified that the entire matter is under CBI investigation and security has been reinforced completely. Candidates have been urged not to fall prey to scammers or false messages. To streamline complaints, the NTA has launched a dedicated grievance portal. The special social media cell is keeping a strict watch on elements spreading fake news, and swift action will be taken against anybody attempting to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the exam.
