Members of the Indian cricket contingent have landed back in the country following their top-podium finish at the Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya. As the athletes exited the Indira Gandhi International Airport terminal in the capital, an uneasy altercation occurred involving left-handed batter Ishan Kishan and members of the press.
Late-Night Commotion at the Terminal
The squad touched down in the capital past midnight, around 1 AM, on their return trip from Japan. The situation escalated when an individual tasked with guiding the visitors shared their specific waiting spot with media crews. Consequently, camera operators quickly converged on the area where Kishan was waiting.
Interrupted Phone Call Sparks Friction
At that moment, Kishan was engaged in a phone conversation, but crews kept filming and crowding him despite his visible focus on the call. Frustrated by the persistent disturbance during private moments, the cricketer lost his patience and lashed out at the group. Expressing his displeasure at the lack of consideration, he snapped,
"You guys have a bad habit."
The late-hour disruption created an awkward standoff between the arriving players and the gathering before normalcy was restored.
