Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has made a massive new investment in real estate by acquiring a large land parcel in the popular hill station of Lonavala, located near Mumbai. The entire transaction is valued at approximately Rs 70 crore.
Property Registration and Deal Specifics
According to documents related to the property registration, Sachin has purchased a total of 3.86 acres of land. The financial transaction and official paperwork took place on September 4, 2026. To complete the purchase, separate registrations were executed for three distinct land parcels.
Land Breakdown and Existing Structure
The total acquired area comprises different sections of land. Among them, one major land parcel measures about 3.09 acres, while the remaining two parcels involve a 50 percent ownership stake purchased by him. Notably, this multi-part deal includes not just vacant land fragments, but also an already constructed structure on the property.
A New Retreat in the Hills
Lonavala has long remained a preferred getaway for celebrities and travelers seeking a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. With this significant acquisition, the legendary cricketer is set to build a second sprawling home in the scenic hills.
