Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the young cricketing sensation from Samastipur, Bihar, is generating significant buzz internationally even before arriving for his England tour. While the budding batter prepares to make his mark in international cricket during the upcoming T20 series against Ireland, his father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, has already reached London. Following the Ireland series, Vaibhav is scheduled to join the Indian team for a 5-match T20 series in England, for which he has already been selected.
High-profile meeting in London
Ahead of Vaibhav’s arrival in England, his father met with the renowned billionaire businessman Lakshmi Mittal and the owners of the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. Sanjeev Suryavanshi also held discussions with the CEO and management of Rajasthan Royals, the team for which Vaibhav plays in the IPL. Given the impressive form Vaibhav has displayed on the field, it comes as no surprise that Lakshmi Mittal praised the young talent during their encounter.
Sharing photos of the meeting on Facebook, Sanjeev Suryavanshi mentioned that he had the privilege of meeting the Rajasthan Royals owners, Mr. Mittal, Aditya Mittal, and Manoj Badale, in London. The session was also attended by Rajasthan Royals CEO Alok and Romy.
Aiming for Sachin Tendulkar's record
The record for the youngest international debutant for India is currently held by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who made his debut at the age of 16 years and 205 days in a Test match against Pakistan in Karachi on November 15, 1989. However, TrendKia reports that Vaibhav is expected to break this record during the upcoming tour of Ireland. Having already become the youngest player to be selected for Team India, his international debut is considered almost certain. If he plays, he will cement his place in history as the youngest Indian to step onto the international cricket stage. Fans are now eager to see if he will earn a spot in the playing-11 and whether his batting prowess will shine during the 5 T20 matches against England.
