A 29-year-old married man was brutally murdered inside a rented accommodation in Jatti Majra village, located near Lodhi Majra in the Manpura police station jurisdiction of Solan district, Himachal Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Laltu Singh, a native of Daroora village in the Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh. Kumar was employed at a private firm in the industrial hub of Baddi-Nalagadh and was living alone, while his wife, young son, and parents resided in their hometown in Uttar Pradesh. The violent incident occurred on Monday following a confrontation over an extra-marital relationship.
Discovery in Room Triggers Fatal Assault
According to details gathered during the initial police probe, Deepak Kumar was involved in a romantic relationship with a local young woman. On Monday, Kumar visited the woman at her residence. The woman's brother and a male associate were already aware of the ongoing affair. Tensions escalated dramatically when the brother unexpectedly walked into the room and caught his sister and Kumar in a compromising situation. Overcome with fury, the brother along with his associate grabbed a small domestic LPG gas cylinder present in the room and struck Kumar repeatedly on the head. The blunt force trauma resulted in severe cranial injuries, killing Kumar instantly at the scene. Both perpetrators fled immediately after committing the crime.
Forensic Investigation and Autopsy at AIIMS Bilaspur
Upon receiving information about the homicide, a team from the Manpura police station secured the crime scene and recovered the victim's body. A specialized forensic science team was called to the location to collect physical evidence, fingerprints, and structural clues from the room. Following standard legal protocols, the police sent the body to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur for a comprehensive post-mortem examination. Law enforcement agencies have formed multiple search parties to track down and apprehend the two absconding primary suspects.
Three Harboring Accomplices Remanded to Police Custody
In a major breakthrough following the incident, law enforcement officers arrested three individuals accused of facilitating the escape of the two primary suspects. The arrested persons have been identified as Zameer Ahmad, a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, along with his wife and daughter. Investigation revealed that the trio provided shelter and logistics to aid the fleeing killers. All three individuals, comprising two women and one man, were produced before a local court, which granted the Manpura police a three-day remand for custodial interrogation. Investigators are currently questioning them to determine the exact whereabouts of the fleeing suspects.
