Stabbing incidents continue to plague the national capital, spreading fear and shock among residents. In the latest tragic incident from Delhi's Nangloi area, a 15-year-old school student was brutally stabbed to death. The heinous crime occurred after the teenager intervened to stop a group of youths from harassing and molesting a girl on the street.
The fatal attack on the way to school
According to available details, the victim, Dhruv, was heading to school when the confrontation took place near Bhooton Wali Gali. A few boys were harassing a girl in the area, prompting Dhruv to object and attempt to stop them. Enraged by his intervention, a group of five to six boys launched a vicious knife attack on him. Upon receiving information about the incident, Dhruv's family members rushed to the spot and immediately alerted the police. Law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene and swiftly transported the injured student to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Three minor accused apprehended by police
Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the murder, scouring CCTV footage from cameras installed around the crime scene to piece together the sequence of events. Police have managed to apprehend three boys in connection with the case. Reports indicate that all three suspects are minors. Legal proceedings and further inquiries by the police are currently underway.
Previous molestation and assault incident in Rohini
This incident follows another disturbing confrontation in the capital. Recently, a Class 10 student, her mother, and her 80-year-old grandmother were assaulted in Delhi's Rohini area after they resisted molestation. According to Delhi Police, three neighborhood youths targeted the schoolgirl near her home. When the victim and her family members protested against the harassment, the attackers assaulted them as well. All three women sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital, where they were discharged following medical treatment.
