A 20 year old student preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) died by suicide after hanging herself inside her flat in the Landmark City area of Kota. The deceased student has been identified as Khushboo Patel, a native of Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, who had moved to the coaching hub to pursue her dream of a medical career.
Discovery of the Incident in Landmark City
According to preliminary details, Khushboo was residing in Kota along with her younger sister Khushi. Both sisters were staying together while preparing for their competitive examinations. The tragedy came to light on Tuesday evening when the room remained locked from the inside for an unusually long duration. Concerned by the lack of response, Khushi contacted a female friend and alerted neighbors for assistance. Upon forcing the door open, bystanders discovered Khushboo hanging inside the room.
Police Investigation and Post Mortem Procedure
Local police officials rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. Authorities took custody of the body and transferred it to the hospital mortuary for a post mortem examination. Police have initiated a formal inquiry to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the extreme step, while her family members in Madhya Pradesh have been notified.
