Timelines for Secondary and Higher Secondary Students
For students enrolled in Classes 9, 10, 11, and 12, the department has established distinct windows for submission. Students seeking to renew their previous applications must complete the online process and submit the hard copy of their documents to their respective institutions between 11 August and 25 August. Meanwhile, candidates submitting fresh applications for the first time can register online from 11 August through 21 September. Submitting hard copies with proper institution verification within these deadlines remains mandatory.
Application Schedule for Higher Education Courses
A separate timeline has been designated for students pursuing undergraduate degrees, postgraduate studies, LLM courses, and other higher education professional programs. For renewal candidates in higher education, the application window will open on 15 September and conclude on 15 October. For first-year students securing new admissions, fresh applications will be accepted from 15 September until 31 October. Applications received past these designated periods will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Complete Ban on Corrections After Final Submit
District Social Welfare Officer Neeraj Patel emphasized that the scholarship architecture is entirely digital. Once an applicant clicks the final submission button, no edits or corrections can be processed at any stage. Neither the student, the educational institution, the welfare department, nor state authorities possess the technical access to modify locked data. Applicants are strictly urged to thoroughly cross-check every single entry before generating the final printable submission copy.
Avoiding Critical Errors in Semester Marks Entry
Pointing to data from previous academic cycles, Neeraj Patel noted that improper entry of obtained marks and maximum marks accounts for the highest number of rejections. Students studying under semester evaluation systems frequently make the mistake of entering marks for only one semester. The rules require applicants to enter the aggregated total of marks obtained and total maximum marks across both semesters combined. Ignoring this requirement causes thousands of eligible candidates to lose their scholarship benefits each year.
Mandatory Use of Guardian Income and Caste Certificates
Strict criteria have also been reiterated regarding supporting documentation. Only income certificates and caste certificates issued in the name of the student's parent or legal guardian will be accepted as valid proof. Many applicants mistakenly upload certificates issued in their own names, leading to immediate rejection during institutional and departmental verification checks.
Compulsory Disclosure of Counseling Information
For technical and professional courses such as Pharmacy, DElEd, Nursing, and related streams where admission is granted through competitive counseling, filling out complete counseling credentials is mandatory. If an applicant leaves the counseling details section blank or marks 'No', the automated system will reject the application, rendering the candidate ineligible for scholarship disbursement.

To reduce application errors and guide educational institutions, a preliminary coordination meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate. Representatives from local degree colleges, ITI institutes, polytechnic colleges, the secondary education department, and Purvanchal University attended the briefing.
