Renowned Bhojpuri playback singer Devi, a resident of Jamui, experienced a complete transformation in her life sparked by a single phone call. When she was looking to move forward in her life, a friend called her from Germany, charting a completely different path for her future. Devi is a single mother who gave birth to a child through IVF. Sharing the details of this journey, Devi stated that she tried for this child for a full 10 years, making her first attempt back in 2015, which unfortunately ended in failure.
The IVF Journey and the Call from Germany
Explaining her decision, Devi noted that there are times when a person cannot find the right partner they wish to spend their life with, which led her to take matters into her own hands. During this period, her friend from Germany called to inform her that anyone can become a single mother in Germany through IVF. Since this medical facility was not available in India at that time, she traveled to Germany and successfully gave birth to her child after 10 years of persistent efforts.
No Regrets and Learning from Mistakes
Devi expressed that she has never regretted any of the decisions she has made in life. Whenever she felt that she might have made a wrong choice, she believed that it was meant to happen at that specific moment, which is why she made that decision. Consequently, she never overthought her choices. She believes that mistakes are essential for life because everything happens for the best, and a good life is what she focuses on. Making a mistake allows a person to learn and correct it the next time. She added that while her life has been quite tangled, she has not faced overwhelming hardships.

Artists had to struggle significantly to release an album, frequently visiting various companies. She shared that both her parents were professors and passionate music lovers, fostering a musical environment at home since childhood. She performed her first stage show at the age of six and has been connected to music ever since. Her first album was released when she was 15, and over these 23 years, she has observed that good things always stay etched in people's memories.
