Soon after, his RRR co-star Ram Charan also got injured on the sets of Peddi, hurting his wrist badly enough that he recently underwent surgery for it too. Now a third name has been added to that unfortunate list: Ram Charan's co-star Jr NTR has suffered a shoulder injury. Doctors examining him have advised the Telugu star to rest completely for now, putting a temporary pause on his shooting commitments.
Team confirms injury, recommends 6 to 8 weeks of rest
It was Jr NTR's own team that came forward to confirm the news of his injury. According to their statement, the actor has hurt his shoulder and will need to stay away from work for the next 6 to 8 weeks to recover fully. Along with sharing the details, the team was also quick to reassure worried fans, saying there was no reason at all to panic. In its statement, the team said, 'There is absolutely nothing to worry about,' adding that it would continue to keep fans updated on the actor's recovery in the days ahead.
Injury occurred on July 27, two doctors overseeing treatment
Per the team's statement, Jr NTR sustained the injury during an activity on July 27. Following a thorough medical evaluation, he was examined by a team of doctors led by Dr. J. Madhusudan Rao and Dr. R.A. Purnachandra Tejaswi. Together, the doctors advised the actor to take complete rest for one to one and a half months so that his shoulder can heal properly. Until then, the actor is expected to stay off any shoot schedules so that the shoulder gets adequate time to heal without further strain.
Which film was he shooting for? Still a mystery
So far, Jr NTR's team has not clarified which film's shoot actually led to the injury, keeping fans guessing. However, given the timeline, many believe he was on the sets of Prashanth Neel's upcoming film Dragon when the mishap occurred. The makers had unveiled the film's much-awaited first look back in May, a reveal that had already sent excitement soaring among fans of both the director and the actor.
