Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently shared a hilarious anecdote involving megastar Amitabh Bachchan, recalling a time when a domestic help got so nervous seeing the legendary actor that he accidentally drenched his kurta with multiple glasses of water. The incident harks back to when Bachchan paid a visit to Akshay's residence in Mumbai.
The amusing memory came to light when Akshay Kumar appeared on the quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati-20 alongside his film Haiwan co-star Saif Ali Khan. While interacting on the sets, Akshay decided to narrate the unforgettable goof-up, leaving everyone present including the hosts and audience thoroughly amused by the innocent blunder.
Recalling the exact sequence of events, Akshay explained that when Bachchan visited his Lokhandwala home, the domestic help was assigned to serve water to the esteemed guest. The young worker, who hailed from Prayagraj, was completely starstruck. He simply could not believe that he was standing right in front of the megastar and getting an opportunity to serve him water directly.
Overwhelmed by the sheer presence of the actor, the helper lost his composure entirely. Instead of handing over a single glass properly, he walked up carrying four glasses of water and emptied all of them straight onto Bachchan's kurta because he was too nervous to even look straight. The comical goof-up sent Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, and filmmaker Priyadarshan, who was sitting in the audience, into fits of laughter.
Akshay further recalled that due to the unexpected drenching and Bachchan's impressive height, he had to lend one of his own kurtas to the megastar so he could wear something dry that matched his frame. Akshay mentioned that while the incident remains crystal clear in his memory, he unfortunately cannot recall the exact name of that specific helper who caused the watery chaos.
