The arrested accused has been identified as 24-year-old Yashpal, a resident of Sirska village located in the Sohana area of Gurugram district in Haryana. The law enforcement agency considers this apprehension a significant breakthrough in dismantling the syndicate's local operations.
Acting on a Confidential Tip
According to the police, the special staff team was on routine patrolling duty within the Sultanpuri police station jurisdiction on October 24. During this deployment, the team received actionable intelligence indicating that an armed operative linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang was present near Phool Park in A-Block, Sultanpuri. Acting swiftly on the intelligence inputs, the operational team rushed to the specified location without any delay to secure the perimeter.
Attempted Flee and Quick Capture
As the police personnel approached the designated spot, a young man standing near the park noticed the approaching team and immediately attempted to flee the scene. However, the alert police officers chased him down and successfully apprehended the suspect after a brief pursuit. Upon conducting a physical frisking and searching his carried bag, the personnel recovered one pistol and two live cartridges.
