Bipasha Basu is currently busy filming her upcoming project at a studio in Mumbai after taking time off from acting following the birth of her daughter. As she resumed her routine on the sets, a short clip began circulating widely across digital platforms, alleging that she had lost her temper after being surrounded by photographers at the venue. Dismissing the narrative as completely misleading, the actor clarified that there was no friction whatsoever and that she was merely rushing to begin her scheduled shoot on time.
Challenging the Edited Footage and Misleading Audio
Outside the venue, cameramen had gathered to photograph her as she arrived, prompting her to politely request a clear passage so she could head inside without delay. When claims of her being visibly annoyed started gaining traction online, she addressed the issue directly by posting the same clip on her Instagram Stories. She strongly questioned the dramatic background score attached to the footage, pointing out how audio manipulations often distort ordinary interactions.
Addressing the situation, she noted that someone wanting to reach their workplace punctually should never be misconstrued as an act of hostility. She also highlighted how the clip was selectively trimmed to fabricate unnecessary controversy, deliberately excluding the moment where she thanked the photographers before walking inside. Highlighting her long-standing relationship with the media, she stated, 'I have never had any complaint with the paparazzi.' She added that the vast majority of media personnel have consistently treated her with great courtesy and professional respect.
Return to Acting After a Long Sabbatical
This phase marks a significant career milestone for Bipasha Basu, who is stepping back in front of the camera after an extensive break of nearly six years. Her previous screen appearance came in the 2020 project Dangerous, where she shared the frame with her husband Karan Singh Grover. Following that, she chose to step away from professional assignments to focus entirely on motherhood and family life.
Her comeback arrives with the upcoming web series titled Barabanki, helmed by acclaimed director Hansal Mehta. The actor commenced filming for the digital series in Mumbai back in August. When the script was initially presented to her, she had instantly agreed to take up the role, setting the stage for her return to the streaming space.
