The latest Bollywood comedy offering, Dhamaal 4, featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead, is proving to be a massive hit at the box office. Since its release on July 10, the film has managed to captivate audiences, witnessing a significant jump in revenue on its second day. Following a strong opening, the movie’s weekend performance has been particularly impressive.
Dominating the Box Office
On its opening Friday, the film recorded a net collection of 14 crore from 10,669 shows across India. As word of mouth spread, Saturday saw an increase in the number of screenings to 10,953, with theatres witnessing large crowds. According to Sacnilk, the film's daily revenue surged by 60.7 percent, bringing in 22.50 crore on the second day. Consequently, the total domestic net collection for the film stands at 36.50 crore after just two days in theatres.
Comparing the Performance
In terms of box office competition, Dhamaal 4 is giving a tough fight to Welcome to the Jungle, which recorded a second-day net collection of 20 crore, bringing its two-day total to 39 crore. When compared to Ajay Devgn’s 2025 release, De De Pyaar De 2, the current film is performing significantly better, as the former managed only 12.25 crore on its second day for a two-day total of 21 crore. Furthermore, the performance of Dhamaal 4 is far superior to that of Son of Sardaar 2, which grossed 8.25 crore from 7,292 shows on its second day, totaling 15.50 crore in two days.
Legacy of the Dhamaal Franchise
As the fourth installment of the iconic Dhamaal franchise, the film directly continues the narrative established in the 2019 hit, Total Dhamaal. It is worth noting that Total Dhamaal collected 20.40 crore on its second day and went on to achieve a lifetime domestic net collection of 155.67 crore. Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 has a long way to go before it hits that benchmark, but the early momentum is promising.
