Upon arriving in Srinagar during the holy month of Sawan, she chose to visit the iconic Shankaracharya Temple atop the hill rather than head to standard tourist spots. Seeking blessings from Lord Shiva, she later shared highlights of her pilgrimage along with her personal reflections on social media.
Tackling a 250 Step Ascent Amid Thin Mountain Air
Reaching the sanctum of the hilltop shrine presented a considerable physical challenge. Visitors must climb roughly 250 steep, narrow stone steps to reach the top. Sandeepa noted that the thin mountain air at elevated altitudes made breathing noticeably harder during the steep climb. At one point in the ascent, the physical exertion was intense enough that her legs began to tremble. However, upon completing the climb and stepping into the temple compound, she felt that every strenuous step was entirely worthwhile.
Inside the sacred enclosure, Sandeepa offered prayers before the holy Shivling and spent moments absorbing the serene ambiance of the shrine. Describing this maiden visit as a fortunate milestone in her life, she concluded her digital message with the devotional chant "Om Namah Shivay".

Situated approximately 1,000 feet above the Kashmir Valley, the vantage point offers sweeping views across Srinagar city and the expanse of Dal Lake. Expressing her feelings, the actress stated that standing at such a sacred spot invoked a distinct spiritual energy that words could barely describe. Historical accounts also indicate that the location may have had early associations with Buddhist worship prior to its current monument designation.
