The landscape of celebrity endorsements and commercial influence in India has seen significant developments with the release of the Kroll Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2025. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has maintained his dominance as the country's most valuable celebrity, recording an impressive brand valuation of 1694 crore rupees. Remarkably, he has achieved this top ranking despite not appearing in a feature film for the past three years. Actor Ranveer Singh claimed the second position with a valuation of 1550 crore rupees, holding onto the runner-up spot for the second year in a row. The annual evaluation by consultancy firm Kroll analyzes the top 25 Indian personalities, featuring a balanced mix of 13 male and 12 female celebrities based on their commercial reach and digital engagement.
Shah Rukh Khan's Business Empire and Enterprise Synergy
Shah Rukh Khan's position at the apex of the brand value index reflects a broad spectrum of commercial ventures alongside his cinematic legacy. Even without a recent theatrical release over the last three years, his presence across corporate advertising campaigns remains unmatched. A primary growth driver for his evaluation is his ownership stake in the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, which significantly boosts his commercial standing. Furthermore, his banner Red Chillies Entertainment continues to generate substantial brand equity. Under this production house, his son Aryan Khan made his directorial debut last year with the series Bads of Bollywood, adding further momentum to the family's media enterprise.
Ranveer Singh's Global Surge and Top Contenders
Ranveer Singh has solidified his commercial standing through high-impact brand engagements and international projects. His global visibility received a substantial push from his project Dhurandhar, enabling him to secure the second rank with 1550 crore rupees. This figure places him ahead of cricket star Virat Kohli, who occupies the third spot with a brand value of 1500 crore rupees. Among female stars, actress Alia Bhatt leads the chart at the sixth position overall, making her the highest-ranked female celebrity in the country in terms of endorsement value.
Other Notable Figures in the Top Ten Rankings
The remainder of the top ten list includes several established icons from Indian cinema. Hrithik Roshan, featured in War 2, occupies the 8th position with an estimated brand value of 845 crore rupees. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan ranks 9th with a valuation of 768.21 crore rupees. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar share the 10th spot jointly, both evaluated at 760 crore rupees. Kroll determines these annual figures by carefully measuring the strength of endorsement portfolios, contract volumes, brand alignment, and active audience interaction across social media channels.
