The upcoming sports action drama movie Mandadi, starring Soori and Mahima Nambiyar in the lead roles, has achieved a major milestone ahead of its theatrical debut. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared the film with a U/A 16+ rating. Following the certification approval, the makers have confirmed that the project is all set to hit theaters across the country on September 10.

Production banner RS Infotainment took to the social media platform X to share the official sensor certificate details with fans. Announcing the update, the production house confirmed that Mandadi secured a U/A 16+ rating and scheduled its theatrical arrival for September 10. To cater to a broad audience across regions, the film is being readied for a simultaneous release in three languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Ensemble Cast and Suhas's Tamil Debut
Helmed by director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, the film boasts a diverse cast of prominent actors. While Soori and Mahima Nambiyar take center stage as the principal leads, the film also marks the official entry of Telugu actor Suhas into Tamil cinema. Alongside Suhas, veteran actor Sathyaraj plays a pivotal role in the storyline, supported by key performances from Ravindra Vijay, Mithun, and Bala Saravanan.

Challenging Sea Shoot and Authentic Stunts Without Body Doubles
Principal photography for Mandadi wrapped up in April 2026. Marking the occasion, the producers released a video showcasing the intense effort behind the scenes, which included footage of injuries sustained by cast and crew members during filming. Since a major portion of the project was shot on open waters, the entire team worked under tough and demanding conditions.
A central highlight of the film is Soori's intense physical preparation and high-stakes action sequences. The actor chose to perform all high-risk ocean stunts personally, opting out of using a body double. To convincingly portray sailboat racing sequences, Soori underwent rigorous training for several months, mastering both the physical stamina and technical nuances required for the sport.
