New Delhi. Prominent Kannada superstar Yash is currently making headlines for his upcoming pan-India movie. Marking his return to the big screen four years after the massive release of KGF Chapter 2, the actor has generated immense buzz for his latest project. Titled Toxic, the film is finally gearing up for its theatrical release following months of anticipation leading up to March.
Toxic Gears Up for August Release
Superstar Yash and his highly awaited movie Toxic are scheduled to hit cinema halls on August 26. Being directed by Geetu Mohandas, the project has drawn tremendous excitement from audiences everywhere. Alongside Yash, the star-studded cast features Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth in pivotal roles. Yash has been deeply immersed in promotional activities for the film and recently appeared on the popular talk show Aap Ki Adalat.
Candid Revelations on Personal Life
During his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat to promote Toxic, Yash spoke candidly not only about his cinematic journey but also about his private life. The actor rarely engages in public discussions regarding his personal affairs. Having built a massive nationwide following after starting in Kannada cinema, Yash and his family have consistently maintained a low profile away from the relentless media limelight.
Born into a very modest background, Yash worked hard to carve out a prominent place in the film industry and earned widespread fame. Today, he stands as one of the biggest stars in the Kannada film industry, yet his family continues to lead an exceptionally grounded life. His wife Radhika Pandit also prefers to stay away from the public eye.
Massive Wealth and Humble Origins Coexist
The Kannada superstar currently commands a net worth of approximately 60 crore rupees, leaving no shortage of comfort and luxury in his life. Living in a multi-crore grand residence and owning luxury vehicles like an Audi, Yash witnessed a contrasting reality at home. Despite their son achieving superstardom, his father Arun Kumar continued working as a driver for the government-run KSRTC bus service.
Reflecting on this phase, Yash noted that while his career in Kannada films was thriving, his acting was garnering immense praise, and his projects were receiving stellar responses from audiences, he was climbing the ladder of success while his father kept driving the government bus.
No Job Is Too Small
Yash shared that he repeatedly urged his father to stop driving, pointing out that his son was earning well and enjoying immense success. However, his father firmly believed that no honest work is ever small. Appearing on Rajat Sharma’s show, Yash explained that his father maintained the stance that everyone should focus on doing their own work while letting others do theirs.
Admitting that he disliked seeing his father drive a bus, Yash mentioned that he tried stopping him multiple times. His father, however, argued that the respect he received simply for being Yash's father was not earned by himself; the true dignity came from the respect he earned through his own labor. The superstar noted that his father drove the bus purely out of personal happiness.
No Embarrassment Over Paternal Profession
When asked if his father's profession ever brought him any embarrassment, Yash firmly replied that he was never ashamed of what his father did. His only desire was for his father to finally take a break and rest. Having endured years of struggle before achieving financial stability, Yash simply wanted to provide his family with the comforts they rightfully deserved.
Finding that his father refused to quit, Yash eventually decided to make the commute more comfortable. He began sending his father to work in a luxury car. Yash recounted that his father would travel to work in the high-end vehicle, perform his duty, and return home the same way. His father continued serving as a government bus driver until reaching retirement age.
