Rocco has cut pricing on its popular lineup of connected beverage coolers, bringing both the long-standing Classic model and the recently introduced Essential edition to their most attractive price points of 2026. The promotional event also brings back two sought-after limited finishes for the Classic model, Icy Blue and Royal Blue, which the manufacturer confirmed will be permanently retired after this year concludes. Both blue finishes saw rapid sellouts during the same sales window last year, giving shoppers a final opportunity to secure those specific aesthetics before inventory runs out.
The Essential: Modern Styling and Sub-Zero Chilling Power
The Essential variant arrived in August and began customer shipments in September. In terms of design language, it breaks decisively from the retro aesthetics of the original. The vintage rounded contours and fluted glass panels have been replaced with clean minimalism anchored by a dark, full-face tinted glass door. It ships with a color-coordinated metal handle, which buyers can optionally replace with a midcentury-style oak handle for an additional $95 upgrade fee.
Storage architecture inside the Essential represents a clear functional evolution. Rather than classic wire grates, this cooler features smooth-sliding pullout drawers outfitted with a rubberized base and specialized grip strips. This design prevents cylindrical beverage containers from shifting or clattering whenever the door opens, and it accommodates non-standard packaging with ease. The unit can store up to 77 drink cans. It also delivers colder operational temperatures than the Classic, dropping down to 34 degrees Fahrenheit compared to the Classic's lowest threshold of 37 degrees Fahrenheit. The unit relies on a single cooling zone, and discounts currently apply to all three standard finishes: Cream, Sage, and Graphite.
The Classic: Dual Temperature Chambers and Retro Bar Cart Utility
The original Classic model established the brand's identity through heavy-gauge steel construction and distinct vintage cues. Its grooved, fluted front glass diffuses ambient light that could otherwise degrade sensitive beverages over time. Outfitted with an integrated top tray matched to the exterior finish, the appliance is designed to serve double duty as a functional living room bar cart. It features dual isolated climate zones, allowing users to concurrently store red wine and chilled white wine or canned soft drinks at separate targeted temperatures.
Capacity on the Classic remains higher overall, offering five full-depth wire shelves along with a half shelf capable of accommodating up to 88 cans or 27 full-sized wine bottles. While the fixed wire racks lack the dampening glide of the newer drawer system, the Classic is backed by an extensive 10-year warranty. Users can also configure internal ambient illumination directly through a mobile app. The promotional pricing applies strictly to four Classic colorways: Beige, White, Royal Blue, and Icy Blue.
Smart Sight Inventory Tech and Real-World Limitations
Both the Classic and Essential incorporate proprietary optical monitoring known as the sight system, engineered to log contents and monitor beverage consumption in real time. In day-to-day operation, however, this computer vision setup can be noticeably sluggish and prone to errors. The scanner frequently lags behind removals and can continue displaying long-consumed stock on the user interface. Prospective buyers should view the hardware through the lens of thermal performance, aesthetic appeal, and build durability rather than relying strictly on the automated inventory software.
