Beneficiaries registered under the scheme are entitled to receive Rs 10,000 annually, divided into two equal instalments of Rs 5,000 each. While the current payout coincides with Raksha Bandhan, the second instalment of the welfare initiative is scheduled to be rolled out on International Women's Day.

Recipients can easily confirm the arrival of their funds by checking their bank account statements, inspecting passbooks, or reviewing transaction alerts for the Rs 5,000 credit. If the update does not reflect immediately, beneficiaries are advised to wait for a day or two before checking again. In case of persistent delays, reviewing the official bank records or contacting financial institutions helps clear up any transaction status issues.
Expanding Digital Agriculture and Rural Partnerships
First launched on September 17, 2024, the Subhadra scheme stands as a cornerstone financial inclusion initiative for women. Beyond direct welfare payments, the state government has forged multiple memorandums of understanding to advance digital agriculture and bolster rural livelihoods. A notable partnership with the Department of Posts leverages the vast network of Gramin Dak Sevaks to facilitate farmer registrations and digital service rollouts, encompassing programs like AgriStack enrolment, CM Kisan registration, and PM Kisan e-KYC.
Comprehensive Structure of the Financial Assistance
Under the guidelines of the Subhadra program, eligible female residents aged between 21 and 60 years receive a total of Rs 50,000 distributed over a five-year window spanning from 2024-25 to 2028-29. The annual Rs 10,000 portion is credited directly into Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-linked bank accounts. At the formal launch event, funding transfers were initiated for upwards of 10 lakh women, alongside the dedication of extensive railway development projects worth more than Rs 2,800 crore in Bhubaneswar.
