An extraordinary gathering occurred in the Hodal area of Palwal district in Haryana during the funeral rites of an 85-year-old woman named Chameli Devi. Attending the final ceremony was a 25-year-old youth named Akash, who arrived from Rajasthan after being informed of the passing by the woman's son, Joginder Singh Chauhan. Akash offered his condolences to the bereaved family, claiming that in a previous lifetime, he had been the husband of Chameli Devi and the father of Joginder. The unusual event has drawn intense fascination across local communities, bringing to light a sequence of claims that span nearly four decades.
The Tragic 1987 Road Collision in Hodal
The origins of this narrative date back to January 18, 1987. On that day, Master Hira Lal, a respected local school teacher, was traveling on a bicycle alongside his 17-year-old eldest son, Joginder Singh Chauhan. The duo was journeying from the town of Hodal back toward their native village of Mitrol. During their commute, a fast-moving passenger bus struck their bicycle with great force. Master Hira Lal sustained fatal injuries and passed away as a direct result of the crash, while his young son Joginder suffered multiple injuries but survived. In the years following the tragic loss of his father, Joginder built a career in public administration, eventually rising to serve as a Superintendent within the Sub-Divisional Magistrate office.
Childhood Assertions and the 2006 Encounter
Fifteen years after the fatal collision, in the year 2001, a boy named Akash was born to Devi Singh Faujdar and his wife Saroj in Badesara village, located in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. According to statements made by Devi Singh Faujdar, as young Akash began to speak, he frequently recounted memories of a previous life in Haryana. The child asserted that he had been a school teacher who died in a road accident, claiming that he left behind two sons, a daughter, and a solidly constructed home. In 2006, when Akash was merely five years old, he traveled to the Chauhan household in Haryana. Upon arrival, the young child astounded the family by accurately identifying members of the household and correctly detailing private family matters.
Sponsorship of Education and Final Rites Attendance
Deeply moved by the child's detailed knowledge, Joginder Singh Chauhan came to view Akash as the reincarnation of his deceased father, Master Hira Lal. From that point forward, Joginder took on the responsibility of supporting the young boy, funding Akash's entire educational journey and providing ongoing financial assistance. Currently, 25-year-old Akash resides in Rajasthan and is actively preparing for the competitive Union Public Service Commission examination. When 85-year-old Chameli Devi passed away on August 15, Joginder personally contacted Akash to break the news. Akash subsequently traveled to Palwal to participate in the final rituals, standing alongside the family to pay his respects. The unusual history shared between the two households continues to be a subject of intense discussion throughout the region.
