Following a complaint filed by the child's father, local police apprehended the woman and produced her before a city court, which subsequently remanded her to judicial custody.

The incident took place in the Shiv Enclave Part-3 area of Faridabad. According to information shared by law enforcement officials, the complainant, Krishna Kumar, resides in the locality with his family. In his statement to the police, Krishna Kumar revealed that he has been married for approximately five years and that the couple has three young children. He alleged that his wife's behavior toward their children had been problematic for a long time, noting that she frequently lost her temper and beat the children over minor issues.
Assault Took Place When Family Members Were at Work
Police investigations into the case revealed that the tragic event unfolded on the afternoon of August 26. On that day, Krishna Kumar and his mother had left the house to go to their respective workplaces, leaving the woman at home alone with their three children. During this time, the mother reportedly started assaulting her two-year-old son without any immediate provocation. The physical abuse was underway when Krishna Kumar returned home unexpectedly.
Child Attacked With Paper Cutter During Rescue Attempt
Upon witnessing his wife beating the young child, Krishna Kumar immediately rushed forward to intervene and protect the boy. However, as he tried to pull the child away to safety, the woman became increasingly aggressive. In an outburst of anger, she grabbed a paper cutter kept inside the house and slashed her toddler's neck with it. The violent blow caused deep wounds, leaving the child bleeding profusely and in critical condition.

Krishna Kumar then lodged a formal complaint against his wife, prompting the police to register a case and arrest her.
