A severe accident caused by illegal synthetic kite string has been reported from Haryana's Faridabad, leaving a 25-year-old youth critically injured. The victim was riding his motorcycle toward his paternal aunt's residence in the Old Faridabad area when a stray length of banned Chinese manjha wrapped around his neck. The glass-coated string inflicted an 11-centimeter deep gash on his neck and a 5-centimeter wound on his forehead.
Immediate Medical Attention and Transfer to Delhi
Passersby and relatives rushed the injured youth to BK Hospital in Faridabad for emergency treatment. After stabilizing the patient and providing basic first aid, medical staff referred him to an advanced care facility in Delhi owing to the depth and severity of his injuries. Local police officials have taken note of the incident and initiated an investigation into the origin of the illegal string.

Despite strict official bans on the sale and use of glass-coated synthetic kite strings, illicit trading of Chinese manjha continues to pose a major threat to commuters, especially two-wheeler riders.
