Search for five year old Arya in Sirmaur ends after five days with no trace

The search operation by NDRF for five-year-old Arya, who went missing in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh five days ago, has been called off after yielding no results.

The mysterious disappearance of five-year-old Arya from Devna village under the Lana Cheta panchayat in Sangrah of Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, remains unresolved even after five days. The National Disaster Response Force team, which was actively engaged in the rescue and search operations, called off the search late Wednesday evening after failing to find any leads. The lack of any breakthroughs despite four consecutive days of extensive searches has deeply distressed the family members and local villagers.

Extensive searches across a fifteen kilometer radius

Search and rescue teams combed a wide radius of approximately fourteen to fifteen kilometers around Devna village. The personnel thoroughly checked various ravines, drains, and other potential spots across the terrain. Given the urgency of the situation, the search was extended all the way to the Giri River. Divers and search parties scoured the riverbanks and surrounding areas intensively, but no concrete clue regarding the missing child was found anywhere.

The conclusion of the NDRF search operation without any trace of five-year-old Arya after five days in Sirmaur raises critical concerns. The disappearance from her courtyard and the recovery of her shoes near a drain, coupled with the lack of confirmation about whether she was washed away, turns this investigation into a complex puzzle. The primary challenge before the local police now is to leverage technical surveillance, human intelligence, and suspect interrogations to determine whether this was a tragic accident or part of a criminal conspiracy.

With the NDRF concluding its operation, the entire responsibility now rests on the local police's technical surveillance and ground investigation. The fact that the child's shoes were found near a drain without any confirmation of her being washed away highlights the urgent need to thoroughly probe potential criminal angles. If concrete leads do not emerge soon, this case risks turning into a major test for the law enforcement administration.
