The upcoming narrative intends to delve deeper into Scott’s long-standing fascination and documented caution regarding artificial intelligence. In his vision, the plot will follow David as the synth attempts to construct a brave new world for himself. Addressing the risks of rogue synthetic beings, Scott remarked, "AIs can go off, and if they do, it’s like a bomb."
This planned chapter directly addresses the cliffhanger left at the conclusion of Alien: Covenant, where David covertly secured control over 2,000 sleeping human colonists and carried a pair of facehugger embryos aboard a colony ship.
