Panna: A tragic case of a constable's death has come to light from Panna in Madhya Pradesh, in which one of his companions also suffered serious injuries. According to information shared by the police, the constable lost his life in a road accident in Panna, while another man was found grievously hurt and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. It is being said that the deceased constable had secured the job on compassionate grounds following the death of his father.
Collision by Unknown Vehicle on Highway Caused the Death
In Panna district, an unidentified vehicle rammed into a car late on Thursday night on National Highway-39, killing a 26-year-old constable and leaving his friend critically injured. A police officer confirmed the incident, and an investigation into the matter has begun. He said the constable who lost his life has been identified as Abhay Shrivas, who was posted at the Ajaygarh police station. According to Inspector Hari Singh, a speeding unidentified vehicle struck Abhay's car, after which the car went out of control and crashed into a tree.
Constable Breathed His Last During Treatment
The police said the impact was so severe that the car was shattered to pieces and completely fell apart. Giving further details of the case, the officer said that with the help of passers-by, both the injured were taken to the district hospital, where Abhay succumbed during treatment. He said the accident occurred at around three o'clock late at night near Smriti Van, at a time when Shrivas and his companion Arvind Singh were returning from a restaurant.
Got the Job on Compassionate Grounds After Father's Death
Arvind Singh said that his friend Shrivas had been given a job in the police department under a compassionate appointment about two years ago, after the death of his father. It is reported that Arvind Singh's condition still remains critical. The officer also said that CCTV footage from the area is being scanned to identify the other vehicle involved in the accident and to trace its whereabouts.
