A routine dispute over auto parking inside a police station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, escalated into major chaos as a history-sheeter and his associates clashed with law enforcement officers. The incident unfolded during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday within the jurisdiction of the Habibganj police station. What started as a local disagreement over parking spaces quickly transformed into an institutional showdown when the involved parties reached the station to lodge complaints, and a notorious local offender marched in with several companions to intimidate his rivals right in front of the police.
Escalation of the Auto Parking Dispute Inside the Station
According to police records, the entire episode originated from a disagreement regarding auto parking arrangements between two groups on Tuesday. Following the initial altercation, both factions arrived at the Habibganj police station to file formal complaints against each other. While the matter was being addressed, a history-sheeter named Abhishek Rai, also known as Laddu, entered the station premises accompanied by five to six of his associates. Instead of maintaining order, the accused immediately began threatening the opposing party inside the station building, warning them of severe consequences outside.
Physical Altercation and Uniforms Torn During Confrontation
When the on-duty police personnel intervened to calm the situation and directed the accused and his associates to step outside, the confrontation turned physical. The suspects openly defied the officers, engaging in a violent scuffle and pushing the staff around. During this chaotic physical tussle, the uniform of a police officer was torn. A video capturing parts of the incident subsequently circulated widely across social media platforms, drawing immediate attention and prompting swift administrative action. Authorities registered a formal case against the perpetrators under multiple serious charges, including obstructing public servants from discharging official duties, assault, and criminal intimidation, leading to the arrest of the primary suspect Laddu along with Rohan Jaiswal.
Ongoing Manhunt and Public Parade of the Accused
Further investigation led to the identification of several other individuals involved in the fracas, including Amit Rai, Anil, Akash, and Prem Kumar. All the named suspects reside in the Sai Baba Colony area. Police teams have launched multiple raids to apprehend the remaining accused individuals who are currently evading capture. Following the arrest of the main accused Abhishek Rai, law enforcement authorities took him out for a public parade in the locality to send a strong deterrent message. Police continue to pursue further legal steps to ensure all culprits face justice.
