Stray bulls have been a growing menace on the streets of Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, in recent times, and Monday afternoon brought a frightening reminder of just how dangerous the problem has become. Two bulls got into a violent fight on a street in Chakravarti Vihar Colony and trampled over schoolchildren and a woman before charging off. Remarkably, no one suffered serious injuries in the incident.
A City Already on Edge Over Stray Bulls
For some time now, stray bulls roaming the streets of Mandsaur have been causing trouble for residents. Monday's incident was another glimpse of that growing threat, one that left people in the colony shaken all over again.
Two Bulls Suddenly Clash on the Road
According to eyewitnesses, two stray bulls suddenly locked horns on a street in Chakravarti Vihar Colony. At the same time, a group of children returning home from school happened to be passing by and were standing at the edge of the road. The fighting bulls charged toward them so fast that no one had time to react or move out of the way. A woman and another child standing nearby also got caught in the bulls' path.
Children and Woman Knocked Down While Trying to Flee
As soon as the children and the woman spotted the charging bulls, they panicked and tried to scatter, but the animals were moving too fast for anyone to escape. One child slammed hard into a wall, while a girl fell to the side. The woman and the other child with her fell to the ground, and both bulls trampled over them before charging on.
Bystanders Rush to Help
Moments after the attack, people nearby rushed in to help the children and the woman. They helped everyone back on their feet and checked on their condition. Fortunately, none of them suffered any serious injuries, though the area was gripped by panic for a few minutes.
Entire Incident Caught on CCTV
The whole episode was recorded by a CCTV camera installed in the colony. The footage clearly shows the fighting bulls coming dangerously close to the children, narrowly avoiding what could have been a major tragedy.
Residents Demand Action on Stray Cattle
Following the incident, colony residents have demanded that the municipal administration round up the stray cattle roaming the city and move them to a safe location. Locals say the growing number of stray animals on the streets is repeatedly causing accidents, and they warn that a bigger tragedy could occur if effective action isn't taken soon.
