Shocking Incident in Narmadapuram
A tragic incident has rocked Narmadapuram after a woman was fatally stabbed by her live-in partner near Life Style Colony on Malakhedi Road. According to TrendKia, the victim, Asha Yadav, lived in a rented accommodation with her partner, Ganpat Chaure. On Tuesday around 3.30 PM, a violent altercation broke out between the two near Nand Vihar Colony. During the dispute, Ganpat Chaure allegedly launched a brutal knife attack on Asha Yadav, stabbing her multiple times in the chest and abdomen before fleeing the scene.
A 28-Hour Struggle for Life
Following the attack, some local girls rushed the victim to the district hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU. Dr. Udit Bhatt, who attended to her, stated that she had sustained one deep wound on her abdomen and three severe wounds below her neck, causing significant blood loss. While doctors advised shifting her to Bhopal for advanced treatment, the lack of an available caretaker forced the medical team to keep her at the local facility. After battling for her life for 28 hours, Asha Yadav passed away on Thursday night.
Police Search for the Suspect
Kotwali Police Station TI Gaurav Singh Bundela confirmed that based on the victim’s statement, a case had already been registered against Ganpat Chaure. Following her death, police are now adding murder charges to the existing case. The suspect has been on the run since the incident. A police team visited their rented home at Life Style Colony only to find it locked. Additionally, a female neighbor living nearby vacated her room the day after the incident. Police are now focused on locating and arresting Ganpat Chaure while working to identify the victim’s family and her native residence.
