Weekly Market Pressure and Technical Levels
Despite brief mid-week recoveries, selling momentum gathered pace into the weekend, dragging bullion down roughly 0.50 percent across the weekly cycle. Over the past three weeks, cumulative liquidations have topped 6 percent, pointing to cautious market participation.
Technically, Rs 1,38,500 remains a pivotal support base, while Rs 1,43,500 acts as immediate overhead resistance, according to Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst for Commodity and Currency at LKP Securities. Key external triggers will include geopolitical developments surrounding US-Iran tensions, broader US political developments, and key US macroeconomic releases such as unemployment figures and non-farm payrolls.
