National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) is expected to draw significant attention from market participants in the upcoming trading session as the crucial record date for its declared final dividend draws near. The Navratna public sector undertaking (PSU) had previously announced a 20 percent final dividend for the financial year 2025-26. Investors closely tracking the metal space are keeping a sharp watch on the equity scrip ahead of the entitlement deadline.
Final Dividend Details and Shareholders Approval Timeline
The board of directors of the state-owned metal producer recommended a final dividend of Re 1.00 per equity share having a face value of Rs 5 each, which translates to a 20 percent payout for the financial year 2025-26. This proposed final distribution remains subject to formal approval from equity holders at the company's upcoming 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM). Once approved during the AGM proceedings, the firm will execute the final dividend disbursement within thirty days from the official date of declaration.
To establish eligibility for the dividend, the company confirmed Monday, August 24, 2026, as the official record date through a formal regulatory filing with the BSE. Investors who hold the company's stock in their demat accounts prior to the record date will qualify to receive the recommended corporate payout.
Tracking Interim Dividend Distributions for FY26
The newly announced final corporate action comes on top of multiple interim dividend rewards previously extended to shareholders during the current financial cycle. The board of directors had earlier cleared three separate interim dividend distributions to return cash to equity holders.
These prior distributions included a first interim dividend of Rs 4 per share, a second interim dividend of Rs 4.5 per share, and a third interim dividend of Rs 2 per share. Combining these interim payments with the latest recommended final dividend highlights the company's commitment to maintaining a steady payout schedule for its long-term investor base.
