In addition to primary and secondary schools, all Anganwadi centers across Bhadrak have also been instructed to suspend operations immediately as a protective measure against the deteriorating weather conditions.

The compound effect of the twin flood events has severely aggravated the living conditions of local populations.
The impact is most acutely felt across the low-lying belts of the Basudevpur block. Numerous villages in this region are currently inundated, leaving scores of families completely marooned. Floodwaters have encircled residential clusters, effectively severing their physical connectivity with neighboring areas and hindering essential movement.

The relentless overflow has delivered a crushing blow to the agricultural sector in Bhadrak. Floodwaters have breached embankments and flooded vast tracts of arable land, leaving hundreds of hectares of farmland submerged under deep water.
