Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has used the social media platform X to announce a major package of development works for his home district, Gorakhpur. In his post he framed the occasion as a fresh chapter of progress, public trust and welfare rooted in the sacred land associated with the great yogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath ji.
226 Projects Worth ₹926 Crore
According to the Chief Minister, a total of 226 development projects costing more than ₹926 crore will be taken up in Gorakhpur through inaugurations and foundation-stone ceremonies. This means a large number of already-completed works will be dedicated to the public at a single event, while the groundwork for several new projects will also be laid simultaneously.
Certificates for Scheme Beneficiaries
The programme is not limited to construction works alone. The Chief Minister said that certificates will also be distributed to beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes during the same event, reinforcing the message that the direct benefits of government programmes are reaching ordinary citizens.
