Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced an increase in various allowances for police personnel, which is expected to provide financial strength to the police force working at the grassroots level. Several important posts and categories of the police department are covered under this new announcement. For inspector and sub-inspector level officers, the motorcycle allowance received during field duty has been increased from ₹700 to ₹1,000 per month. Apart from this, the annual uniform allowance for PPS cadre officers has also been increased substantially, which was earlier ₹6,400 and has now been raised to ₹15,000.
SIM allowance for constables and head constables
Special provisions have been made not only for the officer level but also for constables and head constables deployed on field duty. The SIM allowance for these constables and head constables working diligently in the field has also been revised so that communication and coordination can be improved. According to reports, this SIM allowance for constables and head constables has been fixed at ₹2,500, which will prove helpful in maintaining contact during duty.
