About Ravi Kishan
Ravi Kishan's full name is Ravi Kishan Shukla. He is known for his acting work in both Hindi cinema and Bhojpuri cinema, and has also had a long presence on television. In 2006, he took part in the reality show Bigg Boss, which widened his recognition among Hindi speaking audiences well beyond the regional film circuit. His upcoming projects include the Bollywood film Batla House and the Bhojpuri film Subway. Last October, Ravi Kishan said he was preparing to receive the Gorakhpur Number One award, reflecting his continued focus on the city's development. In June 2025, a controversy broke out over a banner, after which Ravi Kishan apologised to an MLA, and a video of the incident went viral on social media. Notably, ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha election there was also talk that winning the Gorakhpur seat would not be easy for him, but he went on to win that contest and entered Parliament for the first time.
