A comprehensive administrative initiative aimed at modernising agricultural infrastructure and rural livelihoods was set in motion in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The state government announced the on-ground rollout of several public welfare commitments, prioritising the financial security of farmers, the dignity of women, cooperative sector expansion, and reliable public transportation. The flagship Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana was officially launched alongside dedicated digital tools designed to deliver government benefits directly and transparently to rural households.
Launch of Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana and Digital Platforms
During the event held in the state capital, the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana was introduced together with its dedicated e-portal. To support the farming community with accessible digital logistics, the cooperative department unveiled the 'Urvarak Setu' mobile application alongside administrative advancements concerning UPCDC. These digital utilities aim to streamline fertilizer distribution, track farm input availability, and reduce procedural delays for cultivators across the state.
What Yogi Adityanath Stated
Sharing the update on social media platform X, Yogi Adityanath emphasised that genuine progress across Uttar Pradesh is anchored in the well-being of agricultural producers and the dignity of women. He noted that integrating cooperative networks with efficient transport systems allows governance pledges to translate into visible grassroots results. The administration's focus remains on expanding rural family incomes and enabling cooperative societies to become core engines of rural transformation.
Broader Agricultural and Cooperative Context
The push toward cooperative self-reliance reflects a wider trend seen across Indian states focusing on grassroots economic stability. In Uttar Pradesh, efforts have been targeted at enrolling PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries into Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (M-PACS) to guarantee timely fertilizer supply and institutional credit. Similar initiatives in regional rural sectors underscore how strengthening rural cooperative credit societies and empowering women farmers are increasingly viewed as fundamental pillars for sustainable agrarian growth.
