Noted actor Ram Kapoor has finally broken his silence regarding the much-discussed kissing controversy involving Shreya Kalra. Shreya Kalra, who won 'Lock Upp 2', had accused him of crossing personal boundaries by kissing her on the cheek. The incident sparked a massive uproar on social media, escalating to the point where Ram's wife Gautami Kapoor apologized to Shreya inside the show. Now, the actor has shared his side of the story and dismissed the controversy entirely.
Ram Kapoor Clarifies His Stance
Speaking about the incident on a podcast hosted by Nayandeep Rakshit, Ram revealed that he had multiple conversations with Shreya where she acknowledged that he had no wrong intentions and that he was completely fine. Explaining his nature, Ram stated that he has always been a warm, affectionate, and physically expressive person who mingles easily with people throughout his entire career. He emphasized that he is not going to change himself and does not care how things are taken out of context by observers.
Dismissing the Controversy as Nonsense
The star of 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' dismissed the controversies surrounding him, asserting that he refuses to let such negativity affect him. Highlighting his extensive career in the entertainment industry, Ram expressed pride in the fact that not a single woman he has worked with over his 27-year career has ever lodged a complaint against him. He noted that he does not care what critics say and will continue to be himself. He added that petty arguments and controversies often twist things out of context, and he refuses to waste time on them because life moves forward swiftly with plenty of positivity to focus on.
