During the latest 'Judgment Day' episode of the Netflix reality series 'Lock Upp 2', several major secrets were unveiled. Television actor Ram Kapoor took the stage to share a deeply personal and painful truth, using the platform to address a dark chapter from his past. Known for his iconic role in 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain', Ram Kapoor spoke about an incident from his school days, revealing that he was a victim of sexual abuse. His emotional disclosure left everyone present on the show in complete shock.
A Traumatic Experience in Boarding School
Ram Kapoor recounted that the incident occurred when he was in the eighth grade, at approximately 13 years of age. While at a boarding school, he faced inappropriate behavior within his dorm. The actor explained that a student from the tenth grade was on his bed with him. At that time, there were around 30 to 40 other children nearby, which made him feel completely helpless. He shared that the older student touched him inappropriately under the covers, and because of the presence of so many others, the actor felt unable to say or do anything to stop the situation at the moment.
Finding the Courage to Speak Out
Continuing his story, Ram Kapoor admitted that he was left in a state of shock after the ordeal. He felt paralyzed and did not know how to react, which allowed the perpetrator to continue the behavior for some time. Eventually, Ram mustered the strength to stand up against the abuse. He recounted telling the student clearly that he did not like what was happening, after which the perpetrator stopped and immediately left. The actor noted that he suffered from severe trauma following these events.
Emotional Reactions from Judges and Contestants
Discussing the aftermath, Ram said, "It is strange, but the person who caused me this trauma also helped me get over it," adding that they eventually became good friends. He mentioned that this secret was known only to his wife, Gautami Kapoor, and even his children were unaware of it. While sharing his experience, Ram was visibly shaking. By the end of his narration, both Farah Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh were visibly emotional and moved to hug the actor. The other participants present in the 'Lock Upp' house were also left deeply saddened after hearing his harrowing account.
