Opening up about her current situation, Shilpa shared that despite having living relatives, she considers herself an orphan. She clarified to the housemates that she was not making this intense confession to gain sympathy or pity, but rather stating the stark reality of her existence. The actress revealed that she has permanently left Mumbai and now stays in a shelter home whenever she visits the city for work. Detailing the exact sequence of events that led to the permanent fracture in her household, Shilpa explained that a major turning point occurred approximately three years ago when she underwent a shoulder surgery. During her recovery period, certain remarks made by her brother's wife influenced her brother's perspective, which in turn swayed her mother. According to the actress, an environment was deliberately constructed where her brother, his wife, and her mother collectively pushed her out of the family home on the very fifth day following her shoulder operation.
Reflecting on that harrowing night, Shilpa expressed that her family members were well aware of her strong self-respect, yet they orchestrated conditions that forced her to walk out of her home at 11 PM. She added that her mother did not even attempt to stop her from leaving, reducing her role in the household to that of a mere doormat. As she recounted these painful memories, tears welled up in her eyes, moving the rest of the contestants to a similar state of emotional distress. She also revealed during the episode that she has already drafted her will, ensuring that her family members have zero association with her assets, and harbours aspirations of building a dedicated shelter home in the future.
