Tensions and aggressive altercations have reached a boiling point inside the reality show Rise and Fall 2, where contestants are constantly locking horns. A fierce rivalry has particularly brewed between Bihar-based influencer Manish Kashyap and actor Gautam Gulati, who frequently engage in ugly spats and hurl abuses at each other publicly. Manish has repeatedly issued direct threats to Gautam inside the house. During the recent weekend powerplay episode, another major clash erupted between the two, prompting show host and former cricketer Virender Sehwag to step in. Disgusted by Manish's aggressive posturing and constant threats, Sehwag completely lost his temper and gave the influencer a stern piece of his mind.
Virender Sehwag Loses His Cool
Witnessing the continuous mudslinging and toxic fights between Manish Kashyap and Gautam Gulati pushed Virender Sehwag to the edge. Fed up with Manish throwing around threats, Sehwag snapped and brought up his background, revealing that he hails from Najafgarh in Delhi, a locality where out of 100 villages, nearly 50 are known to house gangsters and witness frequent gunfights. Despite coming from such an environment, he or anyone representing him has never brandished that background to intimidate others. Sehwag made it clear that he never boasted about belonging to Najafgarh just to scare people, sharply contrasting his conduct with Manish's threatening behavior.
Recalling the Gangsters and Guns of Najafgarh
An enraged Virender Sehwag reprimanded Manish Kashyap while drawing a sharp parallel with his own upbringing. Reflecting the intense attitude seen in promotional clips shared on Instagram, Sehwag delivered a scathing critique on stage. He pointed out that if anyone looks back at old newspaper headlines from his hometown, they would find numerous reports of rival gangsters eliminating each other. Yet, nobody ever heard Sehwag drop his regional background as a threat or claim dominance by boasting about a place where bullets fly openly. He criticized Manish for resorting to intimidation tactics instead of playing the game with dignity.
Manish Kashyap's Defense and Sehwag's Walkout
Following Virender Sehwag's fierce reprimand, Manish Kashyap attempted to justify his actions. He argued that he had stated beforehand he would never abuse anyone first, but he would not sit quietly if targeted. In response, Sehwag bluntly told him to go back to wherever he came from if he refused to take criticism. Manish further defended himself by claiming that when Gautam hurled abuses at him the first time, he ignored it, but was forced to react when the provocation was repeated. Even after Sehwag's intervention, when Gautam and Manish refused to calm down and continued arguing, a deeply frustrated Virender Sehwag walked off the stage in protest. However, he later returned to complete hosting duties for the episode.
Tahseen Poonawalla Enters the Show as Wild Card
Meanwhile, the show is gearing up for fresh drama with political commentator Tahseen Poonawalla entering Rise and Fall 2 as a wild card contestant. Virender Sehwag formally introduced Tahseen during the October 28 episode. Interestingly, Tahseen's brother and political commentator Shehzad Poonawalla is already participating in the show as a contestant, and he did not look too pleased with his brother's surprise entry. Known for his outspoken political views, Tahseen has previously appeared as a wild card contestant on Salman Khan's popular reality show Bigg Boss 13.
