Following the formation of its new national team, the Bharatiya Janata Party held its very first high-level meeting in New Delhi on Saturday. The discussions centered on charting out extensive public service programs that will roll out starting September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Vinod Tawde, the national general secretary of the party, briefed about the plans, noting that while the party traditionally observes a fortnight of service annually, this year holds special significance. Marking the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure in public life and as head of government, the leadership has resolved to launch a month-long 'Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan' across the country.
Reaching Out to Over 14 Lakh Anganwadi Centers
As part of this expansive campaign, party workers will reach out to more than 14 lakh Anganwadi centers nationwide, organizing special recognition events for individuals dedicated to grassroots community service. The core objective of the initiative is to merge Prime Minister Narendra Modi's philosophy of selfless service with active public participation. Furthermore, citizens will be encouraged to create reels documenting their community service work and share them across social media platforms to inspire others to step forward for social causes. Campaigns titled along the lines of contributions to service will be deployed to drive this engagement.
Bridging Gaps in Government Welfare Through Sewa Setu
A key pillar of the upcoming nationwide drive is the 'Sewa Setu' initiative. This component aims to track down and assist individuals who have remained excluded from various government welfare schemes launched during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure. Special camps will be set up at the block level for approximately 15 days, staffed by relevant department officials and essential personnel so that citizens can have their grievances resolved immediately on the spot.
Targeted Assistance for Those Left Out of Key Schemes
Highlighting the practical implementation, officials explained that if an eligible citizen's name has failed to link with the Ayushman Bharat scheme, or if a farmer missed out on receiving installments under the Kisan Samadhan / Samman Nidhi, they can visit these camps to complete their applications. The overarching goal of the BJP is to ensure that every intended welfare benefit reaches genuine beneficiaries and that those left behind for any reason are given a fresh opportunity to enroll.
Fostering Youth Talent Through the National Innovation Challenge
The month-long service campaign will also feature a dedicated 'National Innovation Challenge' aimed at engaging the younger generation. Through this competition, youth will be introduced to pressing local challenges within their communities and challenged to devise fresh, practical solutions. The contest is planned across block, district, and state tiers, giving regional youth a platform to leverage research, technology, and creative problem-solving abilities.
Expanding Youth Focus Alongside Broad Outreach Efforts
According to the party framework, the initiative seeks to channel youth innovation directly into solving grassroots problems. Ultimately, the service schedule this year will stretch well beyond a standard birthday observance into a month-long nationwide movement highlighting welfare delivery, civic participation, and youth-led innovation. In parallel with these public outreach efforts, the party is also stepping up its focus on younger demographics, noting that बीजेपी ने GenZ को साधने के लिए स्पेशल टीम बनाई है featuring senior leaders such as Nitin Nabin and Smriti Irani.
