Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Jitu Patwari has made a bold assertion regarding the upcoming electoral contest in the Datia assembly constituency. During an interview, he claimed that the Congress party is poised to secure an historic victory in Datia this time, with their candidate expected to win by a margin of at least 25,000 votes. Directing sharp criticism at the Bharatiya Janata Party and its veteran leader Narottam Mishra, Jitu Patwari stated that the local population is now firmly in the mood for a change and that the Congress party will emerge victorious with a substantial majority.
Datia voters to reject the politics of revenge
Discussing the current political climate in Datia, Jitu Patwari leveled serious allegations against Narottam Mishra regarding his past reliance on what he termed as revenge politics. He remarked that for a long time, the residents of Datia have been harassed and distressed by this style of governance. According to Patwari, the people of the region are now ready to completely dismantle this culture of vendetta and defeat those behind it. Referring to past statements made by Narottam Mishra regarding constructing homes near the sea, he suggested that the people of Datia are now truly building their own future and are prepared to bring an end to such perceived authoritarianism. It is notable that just two days ago, authorities took action against supporters of Narottam Mishra, resulting in an FIR being registered against 27 individuals involved in violent incidents.
Internal BJP instability and the CM's role
When questioned about the unfolding political events regarding Narottam Mishra and the distribution of tickets, Jitu Patwari labeled the situation as an internal affair of the BJP. However, he emphasized that the Chief Minister has played a specific, noteworthy role in this entire episode. Mocking the state of affairs, Patwari commented that the BJP is currently experiencing a atmosphere of profound chaos. He asserted that trust among the party's leaders has completely evaporated, reaching a point of total collapse within the organization.
The march toward change in Madhya Pradesh
The Congress state president further claimed that if the same ministers who contested the previous elections for the BJP had entered the field again, they would have faced defeat by a margin twice as large as their previous loss. He stressed that the core issue is not what is happening within the BJP, but the fact that the people of Madhya Pradesh as a whole are demanding a fundamental change. Describing Datia as the holy land of Maa Pitambara Mai, Patwari noted that there is a widespread echo of change across the region. He challenged voters to decide whether they wish to support those accused of theft in temples or those standing for justice. He expressed confidence that the public will choose the path of justice, with Datia serving as the catalyst for a broader wave of transformation across the entire state.
