The Bharatiya Janata Party has secured the board four times, while the Indian National Congress has held power on three occasions. Local residents Maya Devi, Anuradha Jha, Rekha Meena, and Asha Sen highlighted that the primary necessity is a leader who deeply understands ground-level issues affecting everyday life. Encroachments on public spaces, dilapidated road infrastructure, ineffective sewerage systems, drinking water scarcity, and inadequate drainage during rains are among the top concerns raised by women. Furthermore, citizens are demanding robust arrangements for female security in public areas, along with the construction of clean and accessible public toilets for women. Additional priorities include streamlining garbage disposal management, tackling the nuisance of stray animals on roads, and maintaining public parks effectively. Residents emphasized that the mayor should remain easily reachable to ordinary people and address public grievances without administrative delay.

Other community members, including Raj Kumar Payak, Ajay Khoiwal, Lokesh, Gautam, and Gopal Sharma, stressed that the expanding city requires an honest, sensible, and approachable civic head. Residents pointed out that despite achieving municipal corporation status, conditions in several urban localities continue to resemble underdeveloped rural areas. A major infrastructure grievance involves the large population residing on the far side of the main railway line in the overbridge area. Citizens are asking for improved connectivity and the construction of dedicated bridges or culverts to ease daily movement. Alongside connectivity, urban planning demands include permanent solutions for persistent traffic congestion, structured parking facilities, and effective measures against seasonal waterlogging, aiming to transform Bhilwara into an organized, modern urban center.

The upcoming municipal election will see an electorate of 2,96,654 registered citizens exercising their franchise across the 70 wards. Official demographic figures break this total down into 1,51,012 male voters, 1,45,632 female voters, and 10 transgender electors. Out of the 70 total wards, 14 high-density wards contain more than 5,000 voters each, while the remaining 56 wards house fewer than 5,000 electors.
