Detailing her letter on social media platform X, she raised serious concerns regarding a potential multi-state or international conspiracy behind the repeated security breaches.
Repeated Attacks and Suspicions of a Larger Conspiracy
In her letter, Harsimrat Kaur highlighted that Sukhbir Singh Badal had previously survived a life-threatening attack in 2024. She emphasized that two separate attempts on his life represent an alarming trend. Given the circumstances, she expressed concern that the attack might not be an isolated incident but could be linked to a deep-rooted inter-state or international nexus, making a comprehensive probe by a central agency imperative.

Outlining the primary concerns raised in her correspondence to the Home Minister, Harsimrat Kaur shared three key points on X
- Targeting Sacred Spaces: Both assassination attempts occurred within the premises of sacred Gurudwaras while a devoted Sikh was actively engaged in religious service.
- Pattern of Assaults: A distinct pattern is visible across both incidents, raising uncomfortable questions that the Punjab Police and the Punjab Government must answer.
- Intent to Malign Image: The repeated nature of these violent attacks appears calculated to tarnish Punjab’s image worldwide and malign the Sikh community.
Call for Immediate NIA Intervention
Harsimrat Kaur reiterated that considering the severity, execution style, and overall context of these assaults, a thorough investigation by the NIA is essential to uncover the complete truth and identify all underlying conspirators.
