Kamleshwar Dodiyar has enrolled as a regular student in the LLM program at the National Law Institute University (NLIU) in Bhopal. Upon beginning this academic pursuit, he made the personal decision to decline the financial benefits associated with his position as an MLA for the duration of his studies. To formalize this, he has written to Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, as well as the Finance Minister, Higher Education Minister, Tribal Affairs Minister, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, the Chief Secretary, and the Principal Secretary of the Assembly, requesting a temporary hold on all payments.
Specific Timeline for Salary Suspension
In his official correspondence, Dodiyar has provided precise dates for this suspension. He has requested that his salary and all legislative allowances be withheld from July 20, 2026, until May 15, 2027.
