A significant political development has emerged within the newly formed political outfit as cracks have appeared in the ranks of the organisation. Manish Brahmbhatt, who was earlier associated with the group and actively participated in demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, has parted ways with founder Abhijeet Dipke to establish a separate faction named Cockroach Janata Party Democratic.
Background of Manish Brahmbhatt
The founder of the newly formed breakaway faction has a documented electoral past. During the 2022 Gujarat legislative assembly elections, Manish Brahmbhatt contested from the Palanpur constituency as an independent candidate. He managed to secure only 964 votes, accounting for 0.53 percent of the total vote share, finishing at the fifth position in that contest. The seat was won by BJP candidate Aniket Girishbhai Thakor, who secured 95,588 votes. Public records also indicate that there are 4 criminal cases registered against him.
Impact on the Youth Wing
This internal division is expected to trigger a shift in loyalties among the organization's supporters. A substantial section of the Gen-Z demographic that previously rallied behind the original platform is now anticipated to align itself with the newly created CJP-D faction, altering the organizational dynamics moving forward.
