Amid the changing political landscape in West Bengal, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari declared on Sunday that the situation in the state has transformed completely and his administration will ensure the protection of cows. Addressing a grand Bhagavad Gita chanting event organized by the Bangur Jagaran Manch at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, he assured citizens that there is no need to fear practicing or promoting their faith.
Urging the gathering to chant the Bhagavad Gita and distribute it widely without any hesitation, he also encouraged people to share the Hanuman Chalisa, chant the Hare Krishna mantra, and blow conch shells freely, stating that the political weather has shifted. The Chief Minister asserted that a government rooted in traditional values has taken charge, one that will safeguard cows and uphold cultural identity. This massive spiritual gathering witnessed 11,000 people chanting the Bhagavad Gita together in unison.
Strict Action Against Disrespect of Saints
Continuing his address, the Chief Minister issued a stern warning that his administration will send anyone who disrespects saints and holy figures straight to jail. He urged the people present at the venue to remain vigilant and united against divisive forces operating within society.
Targeting anti-national elements, Suvendu Adhikari cautioned everyone to stay alert against groups that promote fragmentation and raise disruptive slogans. He emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens to counter those who seek to divide the nation and undermine regional stability.
