Vote counting for the Thattanchavadi assembly constituency bypoll in Puducherry commenced at 8 am on Friday under tight security arrangements. Early rounds of counting showed All India N.R. Key Contestants Across Main Alliances
While eleven candidates entered the contest for the Thattanchavadi seat, the primary battle involves four prominent political fronts. Ashok Anand is facing direct challenges from Congress candidate E. Vinayagam, DMK nominee K. Sethu Selvam, and CPI candidate A.M. Salim. Polling across the constituency took place on October 6, sealing the political fate of all contenders in electronic voting machines until counting began.
Four Rounds of Tabulation Across Eight Tables
Election authorities arranged counting operations across eight tables inside the designated counting centre, scheduling the entire EVM tally across four comprehensive rounds. Officials are releasing updated tallies at the close of every round, with agents from all contesting parties closely tracking each development from the floor.
