The incident unfolded in Khatana ka Badiya village, located within the Masuda sub-division of Ajmer. The elderly couple had been grappling with age-related health ailments for some time and were receiving medical care at home. On Monday, 80-year-old Teju Gurjar passed away after a prolonged period of illness. In a heartbreaking turn of events, his 77-year-old wife, Ganeshi Devi, was unable to bear the shock and loss, breathing her last just half an hour after her husband's passing.
Final Rites Performed Together on a Single Pyre
The simultaneous loss plunged the family and the entire village into deep mourning. When two biers were prepared to leave the household together, onlookers and relatives struggled to hold back their tears. A massive gathering of villagers and family members accompanied the final procession, bidding a tearful farewell to the couple.
