The district administration in Dausa, Rajasthan, has taken strict disciplinary action against three education department employees for showing grave negligence toward official election duties. The authorities suspended two school principals and a teacher after they skipped mandatory election training programs and subsequently ignored show-cause notices issued by the administration, sparking a strong message regarding administrative accountability.
The punitive actions were executed under the direct instructions of District Election Officer Soumya Jha. The suspended personnel include Dinesh Meena, principal of Swami Vivekananda Government Model School in Mahua; Manohar Lal Meena, principal of Government Higher Secondary School in Diwanchali Kala; and Meethalal Meena, a teacher at Government Sanskrit School in Khemawas. All three individuals had failed to report for election-related training sessions.
Absence From Training and Ignored Notices
The role of government employees is considered vital during the democratic election process. To ensure that polling procedures are conducted in strict compliance with established rules and guidelines, election staff undergo specialized training programs. Attendance and active participation in these sessions are treated as mandatory obligations. In the case reported from Dausa, the absence of two principals and a teacher from the training module was viewed as a serious dereliction of duty. Following their unexplained absence, the administration served formal notices demanding an explanation, but the employees failed to respond, triggering the suspension orders.
Action Against Principals in Mahua and Diwanchali Kala
Among those facing administrative action, the first is Dinesh Meena, principal of the Swami Vivekananda Government Model School in Mahua. His suspension was ordered due to his unauthorized absence from the election training workshop and his failure to submit a reply to the official notice. Operating under the firm directives of District Election Officer Soumya Jha, the administration signaled zero tolerance for laxity in poll-related duties. A parallel action was taken against Manohar Lal Meena, principal of the Government Higher Secondary School in Diwanchali Kala, who faced identical charges of missing the training and ignoring the subsequent administrative notice.
Teacher in Khemawas Facing Suspension
The disciplinary sweep extended beyond administrative heads to include teaching staff as well. The third employee subjected to suspension is Meethalal Meena, a teacher posted at the Government Sanskrit School in Khemawas. He too was penalized for skipping the election preparedness training and failing to furnish a reply to the department's notice. In total, three employees comprising two principals and a teacher have been penalized in Dausa district for skipping election training. This decisive administrative step is expected to serve as a strong deterrent for other government personnel, reminding them to treat electoral responsibilities with utmost seriousness.
